The Green Isle
The Green Isle

Ireland is known by many names, but it’s the “Emerald Isle” which sums up its natural beauty as the world’s greenest dairy land and the island of 40 shades of green.

Kerrygold country is a land of clear, fresh water and rich, green grass. On Europe’s Atlantic outpost, the rains that fall here are the cleanest in the world.

This clean, plentiful rain results in grass which is sweet and rich in nutrition. It is this pure grass which the Kerrygold dairy herds feed upon. This is the way nature meant life to be. This is the way Kerrygold ensures life is.

Due to the warming influence of the Gulf Stream, Ireland's climate is temperate all year round, even in winter! Kerrygold's herds enjoy the freedom of fresh pastures and green, green grass practically all year round. From this thriving environment and extraordinary grass fed diet comes luscious milk so rich in beta carotene, it is no wonder our butter has a distinct creamy flavour.

Ireland has one of the longest grass growing seasons in the world, so our dairy herds can roam free and enjoy fresh pastures, which means Kerrygold is made from the milk of free range cows.  A great reason to enjoy Kerrygold!
