In 2009, Kerrygold launched a ground-breaking new TV campaign, communicating for the first time that Kerrygold is owned by Irish dairy farmers. The farmers who own Kerrygold were asked to make the television advert, announcing “Kerrygold is owned by Irish dairy farmers, and this is our ad”, whilst taking you into their farming world and what makes it so special to them.

With no scripts and no directing, Kerrygold simply gave the farmers a camcorder to film their day, what is important to them and what they are passionate about. The advert aims to inform people that:

• All Kerrygold Irish dairy farmers have a say in how the business is run.
• As the farmers have a key stake in the business, they maintain the highest standards of quality and purity year after year.
• All Kerrygold farmers are paid the best possible price for their milk.
• Kerrygold aim to really bring to life their “owned by the farmers” message by openly letting the farmers showcase their farms, beautiful landscape, livestock, and most importantly their personal pride.

After the success of last year’s advert, Kerrygold will be running the advert again in 2010, so keep an eye out for the Kerrygold Farmers on television from the beginning of March.
